The pictures below were taken immediately following unpacking and show a mid-19th century Hudson River Oil that had suffered over 100 years of abuse in a hot farmhouse attic.   The painting had every problem imaginable with over 33" of tears and rips, a brittle and puckered canvas, mold, mildew and dirt buildup.
